Residential air conditioning
Air conditioning installation in Echuca and Moama
Split, multi-head and ducted systems sized for your home, installed by a local with around 15 years in the trade. Rebates available.

Which system suits your home?
We supply and install every common type of home air conditioning, and we will recommend the one that fits the house and the budget, not the most expensive one on the list.

Split systems
One indoor unit, one outdoor unit, cooling and heating from the same system. The straightforward choice for a living area, bedroom or home office.
Multi-head systems
Two or more indoor units running off a single outdoor unit. Handy when you want several rooms done but only have space for one unit outside.
Add-on cooling
Already have ducted gas heating? A refrigerated coil and outdoor unit can be added so the same ducts deliver cooling in summer, provided the heater and ductwork are suitable.

Ducted air conditioning
Whole-home cooling and heating through discreet ceiling vents, run from one controller. Zoning lets you condition only the rooms you are using.

Sized for an Echuca summer
An undersized system runs flat out all afternoon and still never catches up. An oversized one costs more to buy and run than it needs to. Getting it right comes down to the room, not the brochure.
Before we quote, Cody looks at the room size, ceiling height, insulation, the windows and which way they face, and how you actually use the space. Then we recommend the system that fits. If a smaller unit will do the job, we will tell you.
We can provide rebates of up to $7,000 in Victoria and up to $4,000 in NSW on eligible installs. Rebates are subject to eligibility and provider confirmation, so ask us when we quote and we will check what applies to your home.
What a proper install includes
- Indoor and outdoor units placed for airflow, noise and easy access for future servicing
- Pipework and cabling run neatly and covered where it is on show
- Condensate drain run to a suitable point, not left dripping down the wall
- Electrical work to Australian standards, with a certificate of compliance where required
- System tested, commissioned and explained to you before we pack up

Already have a system? We service and repair it too.
We service and repair split, multi-head and ducted systems across the district. A regular service keeps the filters and coils clean, checks the system is running as it should, and picks up small faults before they turn into a breakdown in the middle of January.
If something is not right, send a photo of the unit and any error code to service@irelandrefrigeration.com.au. It helps us bring the right parts the first time.
Signs it is time to call us
- Blowing warm or barely cool air
- An error code flashing on the display
- Water dripping from the indoor unit
- Rattling, buzzing or louder than it used to be
- Power bills creeping up for the same use

Air conditioning questions
How much does split system installation cost in Echuca?
It depends on the size and brand of the system, how far the pipework has to run between the indoor and outdoor units, and whether the switchboard needs any work. We quote once we have seen the room, or photos of it, and explain what is included before any work starts.
What size air conditioner do I need?
Floor area is only part of it. Ceiling height, insulation, the amount of glass, which way the room faces and how you use the space all change the answer. Cody works it out on site rather than guessing from a square-metre chart, because an undersized system never catches up on a hot afternoon.
Should I get a split system or ducted air conditioning?
A split system is the simplest choice for one living area or bedroom. A multi-head system covers several rooms from one outdoor unit. Ducted air conditioning suits whole-home comfort with one controller and nothing on the walls. We will talk through the options honestly, including when the cheaper one does the job.
Can you add cooling to my existing ducted gas heating?
Often, yes. Add-on cooling fits a refrigerated coil and outdoor unit to your existing ducted heater so the same ducts deliver cooling in summer. We check that the heater and ductwork are suitable before quoting, and tell you straight if they are not.
Are there rebates for a new air conditioner?
Yes. Rebates of up to $7,000 are available in Victoria and up to $4,000 in NSW. Rebates are subject to eligibility and provider confirmation, so we check what applies to your home and system when we quote.
Do you service and repair air conditioners as well?
Yes. We service and repair split, multi-head and ducted systems as well as installing them. If the unit is showing an error code, a photo of the display helps us bring the right parts on the first visit.
Are you licensed to work on air conditioning?
Yes. We hold ARCtick refrigerant handling authorisation AU066776 and NSW electrical licence 487485C, are fully insured, and complete electrical work to Australian standards with certificates of compliance issued where required.
